چکیده
Purpose: To study the possibility of using SPECT with a new radiopharmaceutical 99mTc-1-thio-D-glucose (99mTc-TG) for staging lymphomas. Material and methods: The included 53 patients verified diagnosis lymphoma (38 people – main group) adenopathy non-tumor origin (15 - comparison group). All group underwent 99mTc-TG SPECT, CT chest, abdominal organs all interested areas, ultrasound, biopsy followed by histological immunohistochemical studies. Five additional 18F-FDG PET/CT. reference verification methods were IHC examination or, if it was impossible to perform it, clinical observation patient year standard control instrumental studies, PET/CT SPECT. In group, performed once before biopsy. Results: It shown that made possible identify hypermetabolic foci in 75 % affected lymph nodes 81 extranodal formations established diagnostic methods. low sensitivity are due efficiency method detecting lesions cavity associated high background blood activity physiological increase accumulation kidneys bladder. However, allowed visualization nodal 7 9 cases, respectively. A persons showed has specificity (93 %) Conclusion: lymphomas can be used as an investigation lymphoproliferative diseases.

Monte Carlo Study of the Effect of Backscatter Materail Thickness on 99mTc Source Response in Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography
Introduction SPECT projections are contaminated by scatter radiation, resulting in reduced image contrast and quantitative errors. Backscatter constitutes a major part of the scatter contamination in lower energy windows. The current study is an evaluation of the effect of backscatter material on FWHM and image quality investigated by Monte Carlo simulation. Materials and Methods SIMIND program...
متن کاملImage Optimization in Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography by Hardware Modifications with Monte Carlo Simulation
Introduction: In Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), the projection data used for image reconstruction are distorted by several factors, including attenuation and scattering of gamma rays, collimator structure, data acquisition method, organ motion, and washout of radiopharmaceuticals. All these make reconstruction of a quantitative SPECT image very difficult. Simulation of a SP...

متن کاملSingle photon emission computed tomography using 99mTc-HM-PAO in the routine evaluation of Alzheimer's disease.
Regional cerebral blood flow was studied in 7 patients with clinically suspected Alzheimer's disease and 10 normal controls by single photon computed emission tomography (SPECT) using HM-PAO. All patients with Alzheimer's disease and no controls had parietal lobe hypoperfusion which was usually bilateral. In patients with more severe dementia hypoperfusion extended into the frontal lobes. Parie...
